Vintage smock dress by Seattle fiber artist, Gretchen Girvin Clancy. Her work showed meticulous care in producing fluid, clean appliqué using heavy weight textured fabrics. This piece features her signature Art Deco/Art Nouveau style cloud color block applique design. It's made from heavy cotton canvas/denim and the appliqués are bordered with immaculate topstitching. A simple a-line silhouette with a side seam pockets.
